National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" is one of the leaders in Higher Education of Ukraine for a long time and plays a leading role in shaping the technological policy of Kharkiv. Being directed by Magna Charta Universitatum, the University is a member of the EUA, BSUN, EAU and takes an active part in AUDEM. Today more than 26000 students are trained under 96 specialties. The university consists of 25 scientific schools. In 2009, it created a European School of Logistics aimed at post-diploma professional training and consulting for local enterprises in logistics. The NTU “KhPI” is a member of the International Innovative Training Centres Network that consolidates Ukrainian knowledge in innovation trainings. The Faculty of Economics trains Master students in Innovation activity management. The university has its own actively developing virtual education environment for e-Learning with 250 distance courses and 1600 e-training resources. NTU “KhPI” is a founder and participant of 2 Virtual Universities and founder of Academy of Distance Education of Ukraine.
