The State Agrarian University of Moldova is the oldest university in the country. It was founded in 1933 and is a member of Association of Universities of Europe, winner of the European Oxford awards, has got the certification of the international quality standard ISO 9001: 2008. During its existence, the university has prepared more than 55,000 specialists, including more than 1,000 international students from 67 countries. SAUM offers a wide range of programmes at its eight faculties in Agronomy, Horticulture, Economy, Accountancy, Veterinary Medicine , Animal husbandry and biotechnologies, Agricultural Engineering and Auto Transportation. SAUM has a well-developed technical and material base (ten didactic buildings, thirteeen student residences, library, computer laboratories, a technological park with eight specialized research centers and laboratories etc.). SAUM has experience in thirteen international projects, focusing on developing partnerships with ventures in the Republic of Moldova, in area of international cooperation.
