Partner Profile

Moldova State University (MSU) is one of the oldest and biggest Universities in Moldova with full range of curricula and research area. Founded in 1946 the Moldova State University nowadays comprises 13 faculties and 59 departments. The academic offer consists over 60 specialties of bachelor degree studies, 72 master programmes and 66 specialties of doctoral programs. The University has a total enrolment of ca. 16,000 undergraduate and graduate students, including about 200 foreign students. MSU has implemented successfully the Bologna process, which contributed to the integration of the higher education of Moldova into the European Higher Education Area. Due to this Moldova State University has been involved in many international projects including Tempus, Erasmus Mundus and FP7 projects. Currently seven Tempus projects (selections 2010, 2011 and 2012), four projects financed by AUF, two FP7 projects and several cross-border projects are ongoing at MSU. Since the year 2011 Moldova State University is a partner in four projects of Erasmus Mundus Action 2 academic mobility program.
