Young Leaders Academy for La MANCHE partner institutions students
IUC, Bulgaria will host in September 2014 a large scale training and networking event for students from the La MANCHE consortium. The Young Leaders Academy will be attended by 62 students from the 28 institutions who are student organizations leaders and are actively involved in the decision making processes at their home institutions. The purpose of the Young Leaders Academy is to build students leadership skills and to empower them to engage proactively in the university governance processes.
The Young Leaders Academy will take place in the period of 7th - 13th September 2014 in Bulgaria. EU experts from the project will act as trainers and lecturers at the Academy. According to the principles of transparency and equal access, each La MANCHE partner institution will organize an internal selection procedure to nominate the 2 students best suited to take part in the Academy. Selection criteria include: 1) active membership or leading role in the home institution's student organization, 2) active involvement in the La MANCHE project and high motivation to contribute to the achievement of its objectives, 3) good English language skills.
Partner institutions will establish a list applicants and will make it public by nominated the two best candidate. More information on the selection procedures could be obtained from the project 29 institutional coordinators.
